It fixes to a suitable timber element and is operated with a pull string, giving you a light that can be switched on when you enter the loft without installing a new mains lighting circuit. The manufacturer lists three D batteries as the power source; these are not included. Supplied accessories include screws, a 2m pull string and a reflective strip. The product can be screwed to a suitable roof truss, rafter, purlin or noggin, with the position chosen to illuminate the access and storage area. Battery lighting is useful for occasional visits to collect or put away belongings. Its running time depends on how often it is used and the batteries fitted. For a larger storage area or more regular use, we can discuss whether mains-powered lighting would be a more appropriate option instead. - No new mains lighting circuit needed for the light itself - Pull-string operation - Screws and reflective strip included - Can be positioned on a suitable timber elementEnquire About Loft Light 07414 143782 ## Product Specifications Light sourceLED Power source3 D batteries, not included OperationPull string Pull string length2m Included accessoriesScrews, pull string and reflective strip MountingSuitable timber truss, rafter, purlin or noggin View on LoftLeg ## Suitability & Installation Batteries need to be supplied separately and replaced when required. The manufacturer gives a conditional estimate of up to four years based on just 20 minutes of use per month, not a guarantee for more frequent use. We have not published a lumen figure because the manufacturer's product page and range overview currently give different outputs. We can check the current model specification if light output is important to your choice. The mounting timber and location need to be suitable. Battery lighting does not replace checking that your loft access, walkway and storage deck can be used safely.
